Chess960 - Chess for the 21st Century

Chess960 is played on a regular chess set, with no special pieces required. A random position can be easily set up, but for tournament conditions DGT have released the DGT 960 clock, which will randomly generate a position for you.

You can also select a position manually, which is useful in a tournament where all boards will play the same position in a given round.
